What do you think Coach? Can't believe how bad this looks! Potential for injury is so great! Heavier is not always better if it means getting hurt!

I'm sorry, but I've been so busy of late and didn't get to check out the video before it was taken down. Please feel free to post any other questions you might have. I'll try to be more prompt!

Thanks Coach! I was just wondering why so many football players who use the clean and hang clean as a way to increase power for performance sacrifice technique for the end result which for them is to get the weight up any way possible. It's just such a shame how strength coaches allows such poor technique.
I know that being a strength coach for a high number of athletes (football) can be challenging and I am not trying to put anyone down. I just think it's a shame that some coaches out there allow such poor technique. It just gives strength coaches a bad name. Thanks! |

I don't think that a great many strength and conditioning coaches have backgrounds in coaching technique in anything! Therefore they haven't developed these skills.
I'm sure that if gymnastics or diving coaches became strength and conditioning coaches, they'd think that snatches and clean and jerks were pretty easy to coach, and would do a great job. |
